In a significant stride towards enhancing regional tourism, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has greenlit a groundbreaking unified tourist visa. This initiative hailed as a major accomplishment by the GCC Secretary General, aims to facilitate effortless travel for both residents and tourists across the six member nations.

The pivotal decision was unveiled during the 40th gathering of the GCC Interior Ministers, presided over by Sayyed Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, the Minister of Interior of Oman and current session president. The meeting, held in the enchanting Omani capital, Muscat, saw unanimous approval for the unified tourist visa, set to be implemented between 2024 and 2025.
